2. 72 year old women with CCF began treatment on thiazide diuretics 2 weeks previously. She presents with muscle weakness and constipation and her ECG shows flattened T waves. Serum K+ is 2.9 and Na+ 130.

 

 

3. 9 yr old boy with rickets presents to his GP with loin pain and haematuria. Blood results- K+ is 2.8, pH blood is 7.0 and he has alkaline urine.
