For each scenario below, choose the most appropriate answer from the list above. Each option may be used once, more than once or not at all.
1. A 40 year old man presents to A+E with vomiting and collapse. His partner reports that he complained of a very severe headache prior to the collapse. On examination he is noted to have Ehlers-Danlos syndrome.
2. A 25 year old man presents to his GP with nightly episodes of pain behind his right eye which last about 30-60 minutes. This has been happening for three weeks but he had a similar episode eight months ago. There is associated lid swelling and the eye becomes bloodshot. The man is a smoker with a 5 year pack history.
3. A 30 year old woman with a history of allergies presents to her GP with a week of dull, aching pain between her eyes with tender overlying skin. It is worse when she lies down. She also has a cold and post-nasal drip.
4. A 70 year old man comes to his GP with a four day history of stabbing pain in his left cheek when he is shaving. The pain only lasts a few seconds but is very severe. When you examine his face, you notice that he is wincing involuntarily.
5. A 19 year old woman comes into A&E after being hit in the head during a hockey match. She seemed to be stunned initially but appeared to recover and continued the match. An hour later she suddenly complained of a severe headache and nausea before becoming confused and developing bilateral limb weakness.
