1. 20 year old man presents with a painless neck lump. He admits to having suffered from a recent viral infection. Blood smear shows a binucleate giant cell. Further analysis reveals CD30+ and CD15+ cell markers.

 

2. 55 year old man is being investigated after recurrent infections. Serum protein electrophoresis showed a monoclonal immunoglobulin spike and blood smear showed rouleaux formation.

 

3. 64 year old man presents with a painless lump in his axilla. On further questioning, he admits to unexplained 10kg weight loss in the last 3 months. Immunophenotype processing shows CD5+ and a translocation of t(11;14) is present.

 

4. 10 year old boy recently emigrated from Africa presents with a lump on his jaw. Genetic profiling shows a translocation of t(8;14). Microscopy shows a ‘starry-sky’ appearance.  

 

5. 70 year old man presents with a painless neck lump. He has a history of joint pains and dry eyes. There is a translocation of t(14;18).
