For each scenario below, choose the most appropriate diagnosis from the list above. Each option may be used once, more than once or not at all.

1.  A 63 year old woman presents tired all the time with fevers and weight loss. She has an enlarged painless lymph node in her groin. This was biopsied and showed non-cleaved b- cells surrounded by normal t- cells.

2.  A 28 year old man suffering from chronic fatigue presents with a large and painless lump on his neck. This is biopsied and pathognomonic cells confirmed the haematologist’s suspicion and he was started on ABVD chemotherapy.

3.  A 38 year old man on HAART presents with a large abdominal mass. This was confirmed on examination and hepatosplenomegaly discovered. He is started on intense chemotherapy but rapidly deteriorates with hemiparesis, fits and death.

4.  A 38 year old man presented to his GP following recurrent winter illnesses, he is worried by the large painless node on his neck. On questioning he admits weight loss, fever and night sweats. On examination one further lymph node was palpated inferior to the original node.

5.  A 38 year old man presents with a large painless lymph node in his neck. He has lost his appetite and is tired all the time. The node is biopsied and shows large irregular lymphocytes with basophilic cytoplasm.
