1. 54 year old lady with a past medical history of multiple epileptic fits presents with back pain following a fit. Imaging shows fractures and bone biopsy shows abnormally large holes in the bone architecture.

 

 

2. 10 year old boy presents with bone pain in his legs. Imaging shows widened costochondrial junctions and horizontal fractures in Looser’s zone. Bone biopsy shows bone that is undermineralised.

 

 

3. 50 year old gentleman with past medical history of acute pancreatitis and low mood presents with fractured fingers after accidentally closing a door on his hand. Imaging shows areas of bone reabsorption and bone biopsy shows that these areas are filled with osteocytes.
