2. A 35 year old Dad is anxious that his 8 year old son passing some blood in his urine. Urine dipsticks show protein. The dad also mentions that recently he has noticed some loss in his son’s hearing.
3. A 55 year old accountant complains of recent episodes of nausea, itching and oedema. He has a long history of hypertension and was recently started on ACE inhibitors.
4. A 22-year-old medical student presents to A+E unconscious. Her friends mention that they were having a house warming party and were sharing wine, snacks and funny stories when suddenly the patient developed swelling in her face and lips and rashes on her body. She is not producing any urine.
5. A 38 year old builder presents with recent haemoptysis and a ‘burning sensation’ while he urinates. Further tests find anti-glomerular basement membrane anti-bodies in his blood.
