For each scenario below, choose the most appropriate answer from the list above. Each option may be used once, more than once or not at all.

1)   A 39 year old man presents with an agonizingly painful wound on his forearm, febrile and tachycardic. On inspection, the affected wound area is inflamed with blisters and oozing bubbly brown pus. On closer observation, you notice needle track marks along the forearm as well. Fluid from blisters show gram positive rods.

2)   An 89 year old patient on wards presents with fever, chills and general malaise. She underwent a hip replacement the day before and now complains of severe pain from the affected area. Blood cultures show gram negative motile rods. The patient is noted to have sickle cell anemia as well.

3)   A 3 year old boy presented to A&E with a deep gash on his thigh, down to the femur. His parents claim a freak accident occurred at home. A couple of days after surgical management, the boy is febrile and tachycardic. Bacteria cultures show a gram negative rod that grows on chocolate agar plates.

4)   A 26 year old woman presents with hot, red, swollen joints in her left knee and left wrist. She also complains of dysuria. On examination you notice slightly raised purple rashes on her distal limbs.

5)   A 72 year old lady was admitted with a history of fever, and a swollen left knee. Blood cultures grew a spherical gram positive bacteria that grew in clusters. Bacteria was coagulase negative.
