EMQ - Blood Tests

 

1.  A 60 year old man presents with a painful leg. Biochemistry shows normal PTH, normal Na, normal K, normal glucose, normal ADH, raised Alk P, normal Ca, and normal vit D

2.  A 60 year old lady presents with low blood pressure. Biochemistry shows low PTH, high Ca, low Na, high K, low glucose, normal Alk P, normal vit D.

3.  A 60 year old man presents with tiredness. Biochemistry shows a glucose of 14mmol/L, he assures you that he has not had anything to eat since last night as his is dieting.

4.  A 60 year old lady presents with confusion. Biochemistry shows a low Ca, low PTH, normal Na, normal K, normal glucose, normal Alk P and normal vit D.

5.  A 60 year old man presents with confusion. Biochemistry shows a normal PTH, normal Ca, low Na, normal / high K, normal glucose and a high ADH.

6.  A 6 year old boy presents with polydipsia. Biochemistry shows a normal PTH, normal Ca, low Na, normal K, normal glucose and a low ADH.
