1. A 32 yr old male was recently diagnosed with HIV. He has been complaining of flu like symptoms with nausea and generalised pruritis.

 

 

2. A mother with longstanding HIV is worried about her seven month old son who is refusing feeds and is failing to grow. He has a rash on his elbows and knees. He was 6 weeks premature at birth.

 

 

3. A 45 year old MSM male presents to a GP worried about a flat purple lesion on his neck. On examination of his mouth he has a similar lesion on the hard palate.

 

 

4. A 38 year old female has been on HAART for the last 5 years. She presents to her GP with two months history of a productive cough and weight loss. Chest Xray reveals hilar lymphadenopathy.

 

 

5. A 30 year old female complains of increasing clumsiness. This rapidly progressed to limb weakness and double vision. She had a blood transfusion as a child.
