1. 33 Year old thin female comes into hospital suffering from difficulties in breathing and pain in her chest and arms. She is also finding it difficult to climb stairs and gave up jogging a few years ago. Examination reveals Sclerodactyly.

 

 

2. A 29 Year old African female presents with chronic fatigue, weight loss and amenorrhoea. On further questioning you discover she has been irritated by dry eyes and a long standing dry cough. FBC shows lymphopenia and hypercalcaemia in serum electrolytes. 

 

 

3. A 45 Year old male smoker is currently in the ward after having an MI 3 days ago. He proudly tells you that he has lost 5kg despite feeling tired all the time in the past few months bringing his BMI to 33.

 

 

4. A 60 Year old gentleman presents with head trauma following a fall. He has a history of falls and suffers from renal failure. You notice that his speech is slurred due to macroglossia..

 

 

5. A 40 Year old IVDU presents with a mild fever, diarrhoea, vomiting and joint pain. He also complains of fatigue and chest pain that is relieved by sitting up. Lab tests show raised CRP & ESR, uremia and negative c-ANCA and p-ANCA.
