1. A 1-year old boy has presented with deep bruises over arms and face, as well as red swollen knees. On investigation, a prolonged APPT was noted.
2. An infant is born with jaundice with a bilirubin of 24 mg/L (Normal BR=/< 12 mg/L) and a Hb of 10.0 g/dL. The mother has an O neg blood group and her older child has a blood group of A+.
3. A 3-year old girl presents with purple non-blanching nodules. On examination the child appears pale and had two large palpable masses under her ribcage. FBC revealed an Hb 10g/dL, WBC of 100 x 109 /L, and a neutrophil count of 0.8 x109 /L.
4. A worried mother brings her 8-month old child to the clinic, with her records showing a birthweight above the 5th centile, but is now below the 3rd centile. O/E an unusual head shape was noted. Investigations show an Hb of 3.5 g/dL.
5. A child presents a colicky abdominal pain with associated nausea & vomiting. On examination there are small purple bruises under the skin on the buttocks and on the back of the legs
